When pregnancy announcement videos go viral, we typically get to see the excited parents-to-be announcing the news to their loved ones—or the expecting mom surprises the dad-to-be.
But have you ever seen one in which someone else scoops mama on her own big news? It's hard to imagine a scenario in which that would even be possible, but… there's a first for everything!
Video blogging couple Sam and Nia had a sense that Nia could be pregnant, given the fact that her period was late. But she hadn't taken a test to confirm or deny their suspicion.
So Sam got the idea to do a little sleuthing on his own: Secretly taking his wife's urine sample straight from the toilet (she doesn't flush at night in an effort to avoid waking their baby), he placed a few drops on a home pregnancy test and… bingo! Two lines.
Filming the whole time for their video blog, Sam waltzes into the kitchen where his wife is preparing breakfast for their two young children.
After a bit of banter leading up to the big reveal, where he teases ehr about not being able to drink wine or eat bologna, he instructs his wife to fetch something special in his pocket:the pregnancy test!
Even if Nia's not shocked that she's pregnant, she's certainly shocked to find out from her husband, and the super cute kids get in on the excitement, too! Watch the seven-minute clip to see how dad flips the script:
