Okay, so Whole Foods and Amazon are basically the two reasons I can successfully exist as a mom. Healthy food I feel good about feeding my family, plus Prime shipping on stuff we need, like, now, plus endless viewing choices for everyone in our house, equals "I got this." Are you with me?
In case you were too busy catching up on Prime TV and movie content to hear the news, these two lifesavers for parents recently merged, and things are about to get even more awesome. BuzzFeed reports that starting Monday, when Amazon officially acquires Whole Foods, customers will get to take advantage of lower food prices. It's okay; I'll wait while you do a happy dance.
Here's what Amazon said about their new pricing strategy: "Customers will enjoy lower prices on products like Whole Trade bananas, organic avocados, organic large brown eggs, organic responsibly farmed salmon and tilapia, organic baby kale and baby lettuce, animal-welfare-rated 85 percent lean ground beef, creamy and crunchy almond butter, organic Gala and Fuji apples, organic rotisserie chicken, 365 Everyday Value organic butter, and much more."
Yup, I'll be buying all of that. Thanks.
In a joint statement, Amazon and Whole Foods also said, "The two companies will together pursue the vision of making Whole Foods Market's high-quality, natural and organic food affordable for everyone."
As part of that mission, Prime membership, which as most parents know, costs $99 per year, will soon include getting a deeper discount at Whole Foods. I mean, could life get any better right now? Amazon plans to sell Whole Foods private-label products on its website as well, according to Buzzfeed.

All that's left is for Target to join the trifecta, and I can officially feel like life is perfect.
